Spraying

It is used in the pre-treatment of workpieces without closed parts – the entire surface of the workpieces is exposed to the injection of the agent. Depending on the size of the workpieces and quantities, it can be carried out manually or automatically in closed chambers. The degreasing agent can be solvent-based or water-based, depending on the type of contaminants and environmental requirements. Common degreasing agents include alkaline cleaners, emulsifiers, detergents, or solvents. It is prepared according to the manufacturer's specific instructions, which includes the correct concentration and possible heating of the solution.

Injection molding equipment is set up, which includes nozzles, pumps and tanks for the degreasing agent. The nozzles must be installed in such a way as to allow uniform application of the agent to the entire surface of the metal element. The agent is sprayed under high pressure on the surface of the element. The pressure and spray angle must be adjusted to effectively remove any impurities.

The time of action depends on the type of agent and the degree of contamination. After degreasing, it is necessary to rinse the surface thoroughly with water to remove all remaining degreasing solution and dissolved impurities. Demineralized or softened water is used to prevent limescale or other minerals from depositing on the surface. After rinsing, the metal elements are dried with compressed air, drying chambers or other methods that ensure complete removal of water. The surface should be completely dry before applying any coating.
